Our Story
When people come to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, they end up falling in love with the desert—an area rich in history with an incredible promise for the future. A longtime getaway for the Hollywood set, Palm Springs has a legacy of poolside leisure, colorful characters, and sunset cocktails against a backdrop of snow capped mountains and purple skies. It’s a magical place.
Destination PSP came about after two of the owners moved to Palm Springs from New York City and couldn’t find anything great to send back to loved ones. There was nothing that reflected the area’s rich design history, the many exciting events here, or the unique forces behind its rebirth. So they decided to create it.
What started as a single t-shirt became a weekend pop-up shop, and has since grown into multiple retail stores, dozens of pop-up stores, and a true branding force. Destination PSP is not just in the souvenir business—we’ve turned the Palm Springs Lifestyle into an international brand.
Destination PSP produces unique, originally-designed merchandise including souvenirs, customized apparel, poolside wares, housewares and more. Our stylish, modern designs reflect the mid-century heritage of the Palm Springs area and are sought-after collectibles for visitors and residents alike. While many items are branded for Palm Springs or one of the eight neighboring cities (Rancho Mirage, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, Indian Wells, Coachella, Palm Desert, Cathedral City or La Quinta), we also produce items that are just inspired by the design aesthetic of the Coachella Valley.
As a Palm Springs owned and operated small business, we support the area by sourcing locally whenever possible, contributing to local charities and community events, and being committed to sustainability with minimal-impact recycled packaging.
We also produce, design and distribute products for many area organizations and events, including: • The Palm Springs International Film Festival • Modernism Week • Desert Arc • Palm Springs Cultural Center (which includes Cinema Diverse, American Documentary Film Festival, The Arthur Lyons Film Festival and more) • Palm Springs Modern Committee • Palm Springs Life • The LGBT Community Center of the Desert • Palm Springs Preservation Society • The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands • The Palm Springs Animal Shelter • Friends of the Palm Springs Library • Desert AIDS Project • AIDS Assistance Program and Food Samaritans • Comic Con Palm Springs • The Palm Springs Art Museum • HRC
In addition to our retail business, Destination PSP offers wholesale opportunities, private labeling, co-branding, custom design, event merchandise operations, retail operations, corporate gifts, hotel retail support and more. Our efforts started in Palm Springs, but we are actively engaged in new ventures throughout the Coachella Valley and beyond. Become A Retail Partner.
