Now known as the "West Coast Camp David," Sunnylands is the former winter home of Walter and Leonore Annenberg. The midcentury modern estate in Rancho Mirage, built in 1966, has hosted eight U.S. Presidents, royalty, international political leaders, and well-known people from the worlds of business, entertainment, academia, science, and the law. While continuing to host high-level retreats that seek significant outcomes, The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands also welcomes the public to Sunnylands Center & Gardens for exhibitions, films, a café, free walks and other public events.
