The artwork for the Palm Springs Airlines collection was based on actual ads for this now defunct division of Catalina Airlines that started in the 1930s.   This was the dawn of the creation of Palm Springs has a Hollywood Playground and the midcentury modern style that defines Palm Springs to this day.
