In honor of what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday, Palm Springs is turning the desert platinum! On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Downtown Park surrounding the “Forever Marilyn” statue, Palm Springs Pride will host an official Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of Marilyn Monroe look-alikes ever assembled. A free, all-ages birthday bash honoring what would have been Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday, with a Guinness World Record certification attempt for the largest gathering of Marilyn Monroe look-alikes.

Festivities include food vendors, beverage activations, live band, DJ sets, and special guest performances. Registration ($75) includes the official Marilyn Icon Kit: a Signature White "Subway" Dress, Platinum Blonde Wig, Visit Palm Springs Cat-Eye Sunglasses, and a Martini Glass.
