DESTINATION PSP’S ‘JUST CAUSE WEEK’ TO BENEFIT NON-PROFIT PARTNERS

Company Will Donate an Additional 10%; Shoppers Select Which Charity to Support

PALM SPRINGS, CA – August 17, 2015: Destination PSP, an upscale retailer that highlights partnerships with non-profit organizations, national brand partners, signature events, and the merchandise created for them, announces an exciting new initiative to benefit more than ten local charities. ‘Just Cause Week’ will take place at Destination PSP’s flagship store in Palm Springs’ historic Town & Country Center September 17 through 22, 2015.
‘Just Cause Week’ is an initiative during which customers may make purchases in the store, and select one of Destination PSP’s partner organizations to receive an additional 10% of the purchase price. Each of the store’s charity partners already benefits from the sale of their own merchandise at Destination PSP, and during this special shopping event customers will select which charity will receive an additional 10% donation generated by their purchase. Non-profit organizations participating in this philanthropic event include:

Destination PSP not only supports area non-profits by producing and selling merchandise that generates revenue, it also – and perhaps more importantly – generates awareness by providing each organization an ongoing public presence in its stores.

“We have discovered that the exposure these non-profit organizations get in our stores and on our e-commerce site, helps many visitors and residents to learn about the important work being done by our partner organizations as well as the exciting events they produce,” said Jeffrey Bernstein, co-owner of Destination PSP. “To help launch ‘Just Cause Week’ we’re planning to host executives and board members of these non-profit organizations on September 16 to discuss the campaign, and to share ideas for creating partnerships between area non-profits and retail businesses to help expand these efforts.”

Featuring original designs inspired by the “new modern” Palm Springs, Destination PSP specializes in unique Coachella Valley branded and inspired products. The majority of the company’s merchandise is manufactured regionally with sustainably produced packaging, and all items are designed in-house. The design strategy for their “products for the Palm Springs lifestyle” is directed by well-known graphic designer Tom Dolle, an instructor in the Graduate Communications Design department at Pratt Institute in New York.

Destination PSP has operated a satellite shop at the Renaissance Palm Springs hotel since December 2014, and their merchandise is also sold at The Saguaro. The company’s flagship store is located at 170 N. Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs, and hours of operation through the month of September are 9 AM - 10 PM Thursday, 9 AM - 8 PM Friday & Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM Sunday through Wednesday.
